Don’t drink your kilojoules

Kilojoule-laden drinks contain unhealthy refined sugars and unhealthy fats. They contribute to your kilojoule intake without you noticing it or feeling satiated. It is better to consume your kilojoules in the form of satisfying, nutrient-rich foods.

Stick to water and moderate amounts of sugar-free drinks, a variety of different teas and coffee. You can sweeten your drinks with artificial or natural sweeteners that will not contribute to your kilojoule intake. These sweeteners include, amongst many others, xylitol, stevia, saccharin and aspartame.
